The wine is full-bodied yet elegant, with a nice, long finish.

One can enjoy Yarden Syrah upon purchase, but the wine will continue to improve for up to five years following the harvest and should drink well for up to eight years, or so.  We enjoy drinking this wine along with foods with fairly dominant flavors, such as a good grilled steak served with a green peppercorn sauce, or duck in a mole sauce that has a bit of heat to it.

This is a single vineyard wine and it was aged for 18 months in small oak barrels.
