Raspberry and blackberry jam characterize the Gamla Merlot, along with nuances of orange peel, chocolate, oak and vanilla.  The attractive aroma and flavor couple with a medium body and tasty finish to complete this elegant wine.

A small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon adds to the wine's complexity.  Gamla Merlot aged for about nine months in small French oak barrels.

One can enjoy Gamla Merlot immediately or, if stored well, up to about six years following the harvest.  We like to drink Gamla Merlot with a variety of foods, from moussaka to pasta putanesca to grilled lamb chops.
